IKEA Hubhult is good and green

IKEA Hubhult, the most sustainable office building in Scandinavia, has been awarded the Green Good Design award! The building is home to more than 1000 employees with a dynamic work life and an openminded attitude towards workspace and interaction - and when we say “home to”, we do not take that lightly - after all, IKEA is the number one homemaker in Scandinavia, (possibly the world).

The building explores energy efficient solutions in all possible meanings of the word: be it optimization of natural light, solar panels or improved ways of working!

The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design present the new public programme Green Good Design – a new edition of Good Design™ -  aimed at bestowing international recognition to outstanding individuals, companies, organizations, governments, and institutions that forward exceptional thinking and inspire greater progress toward a healthier and more sustainable universe.
